Our client, an award-winning multi-regulated broker, is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to support and strengthen its compliance framework within the UAE regulatory environment. You’ll play a central role in ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, while championing a strong culture of compliance across the business.

What the job looks like:

  • Develop, implement and maintain the company’s compliance programme, policies and procedures in line with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and assess compliance risks, ensuring ongoing adherence to the relevant regulatory framework and industry standards.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments and support the implementation of new or amended legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft, review and enhance compliance policies, procedures, controls and conflict-of-interest frameworks across the business.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring activities, identify regulatory breaches and oversee remediation through to resolution.
  • Review and approve marketing communications, website content and other client-facing materials to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor outsourced functions and service providers for compliance with internal policies and regulatory obligations.
  • Prepare compliance reports for senior management, the Board and regulatory authorities, including regulatory filings where required.
  • Liaise with regulators, industry bodies, auditors and other external stakeholders on compliance-related matters.
  • Oversee client complaint-handling processes and monitor best execution arrangements to ensure fair client outcomes.
  • Deliver compliance guidance and training to employees, promoting a strong culture of compliance throughout the organisation.
  • Build effective relationships across the business, acting as a trusted advisor on regulatory and compliance matters.


What you should have:

  • A university degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance or a related field, or a relevant professional compliance qualification (e.g. ICA, ACAMS or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 5 years’ compliance experience within the financial services industry, preferably within a regulated financial institution. Experience in Compliance and/or AML functions is an advantage.
  • Previous experience within a brokerage, CFD firm or multi-asset trading platform is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the UAE/SCA regulatory framework, including AML, sanctions, outsourcing and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and to staying current with regulatory developments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international environment.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required; additional languages are an advantage.
