Meet the team | Sam Macaron, Senior Recruiter at Emerald Zebra

We asked Sam Macaron, Senior Recruiter at Emerald Zebra🦓, a couple of key questions because behind every successful recruitment partnership is a recruiter with a passion for connecting talent with opportunity. Here’s Sam’s take:

âť“What unique strengths or experiences do you personally bring to Emerald Zebra, and how do they enhance the recruitment experience for your clients and candidates?

🙋🏻‍♂️I think what is the most important at Emerald Zebra is first the teamwork and the positive energy, by that I mean that everyone is focused on the same goals and objectives: bringing outstanding services to both clients and candidates.
Then within the team, each one of us brings his/her own set of skills. For example, for me, I would say that my listening skills, my attention to details and my eye to analyse the most relevant information allow me to select and match companies and individuals in a very efficient and fast way.

Besides that, my multicultural background, and the fact I am fluent in 4 languages, as well as my previous experience in sales and academics are assets that allow me to perform well thanks to the support of the whole team, and the work life balance environment infused by our founder Donna Stephenson.

âť“Why do you believe candidates and companies choose to work specifically with you at Emerald Zebra, and how do you build those lasting relationships?

🙋🏻‍♂️I think candidates and companies chose to work with Emerald Zebra because we are the most transparent recruitment company in Cyprus and we always aim at disclosing as much information as possible, especially for example when it comes to salary range.

When it comes to me, I think companies and candidates like to work with me due to the great mix of professional and accessibility that I bring in on an everyday basis. I am friendly, enthusiastic, disciplined and extremely motivated. I approach each client and candidate requests with a fresh outlook, and I am always questioning myself to try to understand what I can do better and how I can provide an even better service.

Lastly, my consistency and determination are also great assets to bring long lasting relationships, because in recruitment like in every other job there are ups and downs, but in order to succeed you should always look at the bigger picture and let your candidates and clients know that you will always be there for them. That’s why my clients keep coming back to me, and many times my candidates recommend me some of their friends and acquaintances for other career opportunities.

🦓Sam’s dedication to transparency, relationship-building, and always striving for excellence makes him a standout recruiter at Emerald Zebra. Whether you’re a company seeking top talent or a candidate exploring new opportunities, Sam and the team are here to help you succeed.
