Mid/Senior IT Specialist

Our client – a leading forex group – seeking a motivated and skilled Mid/Senior IT Specialist to join their dynamic IT team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and technical support.
This role is crucial for supporting employee requests and setting up their workstations, ensuring all team members have the tools and support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Support: Act as the primary point of contact for employee IT support requests, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Workstation Setups: Configure and deploy workstations for new and existing employees, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary software and access.
  • Email Management: Oversee employee email accounts using Microsoft 365 Admin, ensuring proper setup, security, and functionality.
  • cPanel Hosting: Manage email services through cPanel hosting servers, including configuration and troubleshooting of email accounts.
  • System Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Security Management: Ensure the integrity and security of data and IT systems. Implement security measures and conduct regular audits.
  • Ordering and Stock Control: Manage the ordering and stock control of IT equipment to ensure adequate supplies for all departments.
  • Project Involvement: Participate in IT projects and initiatives, collaborating with other departments to align technology solutions with business needs.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and technical issues to improve knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network administration.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin for managing employee email accounts.
  • Familiarity with cPanel hosting servers for email management.
  • Experience with network configurations and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
