The Role:
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure accurate and timely payroll transactions (salaries, benefits, taxes, and deductions).
- Process payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations, including tax obligations.
- Calculate and process holiday deductions, overtime earnings, and other employee benefits.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reconcile payroll-related accounts.
- Recommend updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
- Resolve payroll-related queries and issues.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax reports and returns on time.
- Manage personnel expenses and reimbursements, maintain proper books of accounts, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgets, forecasts, and ad hoc accounting projects.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and social insurance offices.
- Prepare periodic management accounts and reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial and employee information.
Your Profile:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience managing high volume payroll of 300+ employees
- Proven experience in accounting, focusing on payroll, accounts payable and fixed assets.
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and payroll tax requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in English and a strong command of the Greek language (B2 or above).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

- Salary Range: EUR 45,000 – 52,000 gross/year (approx. EUR 3,000 -3,300 net/month)
