Accounting Officer (Family Office), Nicosia

Join a privately owned family office in Nicosia, Cyprus, as an Accounting Officer, and become part of a stable, senior team managing internal group accounting functions end-to-end.

With over 15 years in Cyprus, this family office supports a group of private companies and principals not third-party clients. The structure is flat, the standards are high, and the team is small and collaborative. You’ll report to the Accounting Manager but own your day-to-day workflow.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain accounting records for a portfolio of local and international companies, primarily engaged in holding and investment activities
  • Support the annual statutory audit process, including preparation of relevant documentation and liaison with external auditors
  • Monitor and analyse tax developments, keeping management informed of significant updates
  • Liaise with local authorities, as required
  • Prepare periodic management accounts
  • Assist management in the preparation of financial reports and analyses
  • Coordinate with team members on accounting, audit, and finance-related matters
  • Perform other duties as assigned in line with the role

What you’ll bring:

  • 1 – 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and their practical application will be considered an advantage
  • Good understanding of Cyprus tax legislation and experience with tax and VAT matters will be considered an advantage
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken), Greek will be considered an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of professionalism and self-motivation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
