Server Engineer

Our client, a leading Information Telephony Computing Development and IT Consulting company with over 18 years of proven expertise in the market, is seeking to recruit a Server Engineer.

In this role, you will provide critical support services to the company’s IT departments, ensuring the security and efficiency of both virtual and physical IT infrastructures. You will collaborate with various departments and system vendors to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, configure and manage enterprise-grade Linux and Windows operating systems, and support Microsoft Cloud platform applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support services to various IT related departments of the company
  • Identify and provide solution to possible vulnerabilities, in collaboration with other company departments and system vendors
  • Setup and configure Linux and Windows enterprise grade Operating systems, both on virtual and physical machines
  • Support Microsoft Cloud platform applications
  • Support and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, both physical and virtual
  • Perform regular health checks of the company’s systems infrastructure

Qualifications and skills requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or any other relevant subjects
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar position
  • Microsoft Windows Server architecture and components (ADDS, DNS, ADFS, DFS, DHCP)
  • Web server operational management (IIS, Apache Tomcat, nginx)
  • Virtualization infrastructure management, both vmware and Microsoft HyperV
  • Understanding of Hyper Converged infrastructure
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity reports and vulnerability assessments.
  • Fluency in English and Greek
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and fast technology learner
  • Ability to work under pressure
