Senior Operations Officer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations Officer to oversee and enhance the daily operations across multiple departments for one of our clients. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in the financial services or FinTech sector who is passionate about driving operational excellence, implementing process improvements, and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

Position Overview

As the Senior Operations Officer, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring that processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. Your leadership will help streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction, positioning the company for continued growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily operations across various departments, ensuring smooth execution of financial transactions, customer service, and back-office functions.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to drive efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, introducing innovative solutions to enhance operational performance and reduce costs.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline operations, incorporating technology and automation wherever possible.
  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and financial standards.
  • Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams to identify and mitigate operational risks.
  • Work closely with senior management, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure operations align with overall business goals.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for operational issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Generate and analyze performance reports to monitor operations, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Present key findings and operational insights to senior leadership to influence strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with IT and product teams to integrate new technologies and tools, improving operational capabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the FinTech space, recommending and implementing tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in operations management within the financial services or FinTech industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial services operations, including payments, transaction processing, and customer service.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements within the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience leading teams and driving operational improvements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in operations management software and financial technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
