This is an opportunity to work for a hosting provider, offering IT Support to a large portfolio of clients around the world. As part of their successful growth, they are hiring a Network Support Engineer to join their team in Larnaca.
Your Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups
- Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures
- Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, latency, and outages
- Respond to and resolve customer support tickets related to network problems
- Collaborate with other IT teams, including system administrators and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the network
- Configure and deploy network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Manage IP address allocation, DNS settings, and other network configurations
- Implement network changes in accordance with change management policies
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and procedures
- Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and trends
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for recurring issues
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for network hardware and software support
Your Qualifications and Experience:
- Network Administration and Network Engineering skills
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting abilities
- Strong understanding of Network Security
- Experience in managing and maintaining network infrastructure
- Knowledge of routing and switching protocols, vLANs, TCP/IP, Port channels, vPC, fibre connections, WAN/LAN
- Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+ are a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
