Legal Associate

An established FX Company, regulated by CySec, known for its innovative investment and FinTech services for professional traders and institutions. As part of their growing team, they are looking for a motivated and detail oriented Legal Associate to join their friendly and growth-oriented work environment. Your New Role:

As a Legal Associate, you will work under the supervision of the Head of Legal and provide essential support in various legal operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior lawyer with 1-2 years of experience who is eager to grow in the financial services sector.

Your responsibilities:

  • Assist the department with day-to-day legal operations, including organizing legal records and ensuring proper archiving, document management, and retrieval for future use.
  • Coordinate, maintain, and administer company procedures, including filing systems, record-keeping, scheduling, billing, and invoicing to support legal activities and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Draft and prepare standard secretarial documents, such as minutes, resolutions, incumbency certificates, and powers of attorney.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing standard legal documents and policies, including employment contracts, client agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
  • Liaise directly with the Cyprus Registrar of Companies on all corporate matters.
  • Support the renewal of legal documents, revising terms and conditions, and ensuring they remain up to date.
  • Prepare bank account application forms when necessary, both in Cyprus and abroad.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare reports, including assessing the impact of forthcoming national, European, and international regulations.
  • Assist with assigned projects, ensuring timely completion within set deadlines.
  • Provide support with various ad hoc projects as needed.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).
  • 1-2 years of professional legal experience, (which includes legal training) preferably with exposure to corporate or commercial law.
  • Basic understanding of legal principles, with the ability to quickly familiarize oneself with relevant laws and regulations.

Skills / Other Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel).
  • Strong interest in developing professionally and growing within the legal field.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a logical and structured approach to work.

Info & Benefits:

  • Salary Range, depending on experience: 1600 to1800 euro gross per month.
  • Working hours: 08:00-17:00 (flexibility from 08:30 to 17:30).
