In this position, you will ensure accurate financial records and regulatory compliance, also to provide essential insights for business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all transactions.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial documents.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Reconcile discrepancies and ensure financial records are accurate.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Provide necessary documentation and explanations to support audit processes.
- Monitor compliance with internal controls.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
- Collaborate with external parties such as banks, vendors, and clients as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA) is a plus.
- Proven experience in accounting, specifically within the Forex or Payments industry (minimum 3-5 years).
- In-depth understanding of forex markets, currency fluctuations, and payment processing systems.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
- Experience with multi-currency accounting, international payment platforms (SWIFT, SEPA), and foreign exchange operations.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
