Cyprus is becoming a serious banking technology hub. Here is what that means for tech professionals on the island

Something significant is happening in Nicosia, and it is worth paying attention to if you work in technology.

LTIMindtree, the global technology consulting company, has entered a multi-year partnership with Eurobank focused on enhancing customer experience, modernising banking operations, and building innovative IT services across Eurobank and its subsidiaries. In May 2025, LTIMindtree took a further step by opening a Digital Innovation Hub at the CYENS Centre of Excellence in Nicosia, in collaboration with Eurobank and Fairfax Digital Services. The hub is dedicated to advancing digital transformation, enhancing decision-making, risk management, and operational efficiency, and aligns with the Cyprus Government’s strategic vision to strengthen the island’s role as a regional technology and innovation hub. The scale of investment behind this shift is considerable. Eurobank has announced a one billion euro technology investment programme for the 2025 to 2028 period, earmarked for infrastructure, cloud technologies, data capabilities, AI and new digital services. The bank reports that 96 per cent of its transactions are now digital, and that mobile banking transactions increased by more than 40 per cent during 2025. Dom

This is the context in which Emerald Zebra is actively recruiting for LTIMindtree’s Cyprus delivery programme. Eleven roles are open in Nicosia right now across Java microservices, Azure DevOps and AKS, middleware DevOps with IBM CP4I, corporate banking business analysis, ServiceNow ITSM and SPM, C and ProC engineering, programme and project management, and QA automation across mobile and Python stacks. These are permanent positions embedded in one of the most significant banking transformation programmes currently running in Cyprus.
