As the new Solutions Engineer you will work directly with clients to understand their business requirements, propose tailored cloud solutions, and support pre-sales activities. Your role will combine technical expertise with customer-facing skills, ensuring solutions align with client needs while showcasing the capabilities of AWS and other cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients to gather technical and business requirements.
- Design and demonstrate hands-on Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and technical demos.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer needs and propose solutions that align with their goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor by providing technical guidance and addressing customer queries.
- Create customised proposals and documentation to articulate solutions effectively.
- Support pre-sales processes by participating in technical discussions and aligning with sales strategies.
- Work closely with the delivery team to ensure smooth handovers post-sales.
About You:
Your Top Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (pre-sales/solutions engineering).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (or equivalent certification).
- Hands-on experience with cloud services.
- Strong presentation and communication skills (both technical and non-technical audiences).
- Experience delivering demos, conducting Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with multiple cloud platforms beyond AWS.
- Prior experience in technical sales support.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
