Meet the team | Terri Neofitou, Country Manager at Emerald Zebra

In celebration of Terri Neofitou’s 3 year work anniversary with Emerald Zebra, we took the opportunity to ask Terri 2 questions to highlight what makes her such a valued and unique part of our team in the world of recruitment. Here’s what she had to say:

❓What unique strengths or experiences do you personally bring to Emerald Zebra, and how do they enhance the recruitment experience for your clients and candidates❓

🙋🏻‍♀️As a multi hyphenate,I literally fell into recruitment years ago and had no plan to return when that cycle of my career closed. But that changed when Donna shared her vision for Emerald Zebra. From day one, EZ has stood out, from specialized searches and screening processes to being the first in Cyprus to introduce pay transparency in ads, alongside our events. I highly value and appreciate the team we are.

On a personal level my own career ‘story’ allows me to make a meaningful impact within the team. My academic/work Psychology, with specialization in behavioral analysis allows a deep understanding of human motivation and decision-making. Allowing me to assess candidates not just for their skills, but also their cultural fit and potential in an organization.

My Business background, as previous Head of Marketing and PR, led me to a passion for storytelling and enhancing customer experiences. I understand the importance of company branding and am often the narrator of these brands making the match that resonates with both clients and candidates. Since I articulate the unique value propositions of both organizations and candidates, I deliver a recruitment experience that is efficient, engaging and personalised, ultimately leading to successful and sustainable placements.

❓Why do you believe candidates and companies choose to work specifically with you at EZ, and how do you build those lasting relationships❓

🙋🏻‍♀️I believe that by focusing on the human aspect, we can cultivate opportunities that benefit both individuals and organizations in a genuine way and this is reflected in my work and thus why candidates and individuals choose me as their recruitment partner and refer me to others (for which I am deeply grateful).
My psychology background assists in connecting with people on a deeper level in a shorter time, I love people, understanding their goals and challenges. I’m genuinely invested in listening, setting realistic career goals and communicating to the relevant companies. Having worked at management level in an international organisation, I understand the operational dynamics of a business. This helps me see the importance of blending the right skills with team dynamics to ensure long-term success for clients. Partnering with companies as an extension of their team allows me to align with their values and business objectives.

My passion for what I do shines through in my personalised approach, enthusiasm, and commitment, I love what I do!
