We are currently recruiting on behalf of a dynamic international EMI business seeking a Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of its Cyprus entity.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant who thrives in a hands-on role and enjoys working independently while playing a key part in a global finance team in Cyprus, Latvia and the UK.
Your Responsibilities
- Full ownership of month-end processes, including preparation of accounting records and posting of journals
- Preparation and review of monthly management reports
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing the annual external audit process
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and financial regulatory requirements
- Implementing and maintaining effective financial controls and procedures
- Assisting with the accounting records of a second Cyprus-based entity
- Preparation and submission of VAT and VIES returns
- Monthly payroll processing
- Preparing regulatory reporting for the Central Bank of Cyprus and serving as the main point of contact
- Handling other ad hoc regulatory reporting requirements
- Supporting improvements in management reporting to meet evolving business needs
Your Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or related field; professional qualification (CAT, ACA, or ACCA)
- 5 – 10 years of experience including industry
- Fluency in English and Greek
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and drive
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Ability to manage tight deadlines
- Previous experience in an EMI or financial institution is considered an advantage
