IT Support Engineer

Our client, a well-established Forex company, is currently seeking an IT Support Engineer to join its growing IT department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven IT professional to play a key role in supporting and improving daily IT operations in a fast-paced, international work environment.

The successful candidate will report directly to the CIO and provide first and second-line technical support across the organization. This role is essential in ensuring that the company’s IT infrastructure remains reliable, efficient, and secure while supporting employees’ day-to-day technical needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1st and 2nd level IT support to office-based employees, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed SLA timeframes.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Administer and maintain in-house systems including laptops, desktops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Organize and maintain IT offices and storage rooms to ensure a clean and operational work environment.
  • Contribute to IT documentation, internal knowledge bases, manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on ongoing tasks and technical issues.

Experience & Knowledge

  • 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar IT support or systems administration role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 10+, macOS, and Windows Server 2019+.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft infrastructure including Active Directory, GPOs, and Domain Controllers.
  • Good knowledge of networking fundamentals, including OSI/TCP-IP models and LAN/WAN components.
  • BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • IT-related certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Bash considered an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Quick learner with the ability to grasp complex technical concepts.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team setting.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing technologies and environments.
