The Role
As a Senior Legal and Compliance Officer you will play a key role in managing legal matters related to contracts, third-party agreements, and compliance within the iGaming industry. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure that the company operates within the legal frameworks of various jurisdictions, supporting the company’s growth in regulated markets.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, third-party agreements, and other legal documents related to the company’s iGaming operations.
- Ensure contracts with third-party providers, including vendors, affiliates, and partners, are in compliance with local and international laws.
- Collaborate with the business development and procurement teams to ensure legal accuracy and risk management in agreements.
- Provide legal advice on issues related to contracts, iGaming regulations, and potential risks in expanding into new markets.
- Support internal teams (e.g., product, marketing, operations) by providing legal guidance on day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to iGaming regulations, including drafting and maintaining internal policies that meet regulatory standards.
- Support the process of acquiring and maintaining iGaming licenses across multiple jurisdictions.
- Stay informed about changes in iGaming regulations and provide legal insights to ensure the company’s operations are compliant.
- Promote a compliance-oriented culture within the organization through policy implementation and regular updates on regulatory requirements.
Your Profile
You are an experienced Legal and Compliance Officer with a passion for the iGaming industry and have 5 – 6 years of experience, primarily in legal roles, with a solid understanding of contract law, third-party agreements, and exposure to compliance and regulatory requirements in the iGaming industry. You are a positive and creative person committed to excel in what you do!
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in law or a related field; additional qualifications in compliance would be an asset.
- 5-6 years of experience as a Commercial/Contract Lawyer, with a focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating business contracts and agreements
- Solid exposure to compliance matters in the iGaming or related industries.
- Strong understanding of legal frameworks and regulatory environments within the iGaming industry, particularly in Europe.
- Experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts and agreements related to iGaming operations, vendors, and third-party providers.
- Ability to provide legal advice on compliance issues.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with an ability to work across different departments.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
