on behalf of a leading digital asset boutique that combines expertise, innovation, and security to deliver high quality services to private and institutional clients since 2018. About the Role
Asset Manager
Location: Limassol or Nicosia, Cyprus (Hybrid: 2 days/week in-office)
As an Asset Manager, you will be joining an existing team and will take charge of managing and optimizing portfolios for private and institutional investors in the evolving digital asset space. Leveraging your deep understanding of financial markets, asset allocation, and regulatory frameworks, including MiCA and CySEC requirements, you’ll oversee investment strategies that balance risk and reward while meeting client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
- Oversee the day-to-day management of digital asset portfolios, ensuring they align with client investment objectives and the companys capital preservation strategies.
- Develop and implement asset allocation strategies across various digital asset classes, including actively managed funds, OTC trades, and tokenized products.
- Monitor portfolio performance, adjust strategies in response to market trends, and proactively communicate results to clients.
Market Analysis & Strategy
- Conduct in-depth analysis of global financial markets, cryptocurrency trends, blockchain trends, token performance and macroeconomic factors to identify investment opportunities and risks.
- Evaluate new digital asset classes, tokens, and emerging blockchain technologies for potential inclusion in portfolios.
- Collaborate with the Investment Advice and Research teams to incorporate cutting-edge insights into portfolio strategies.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure all investment activities comply with MiCA, CySEC, and EU regulatory frameworks, as well as internal risk policies.
- Monitor portfolio risk metrics and implement strategies to mitigate exposure to market volatility.
- Maintain detailed and transparent records of all transactions for audit and regulatory purposes.
- Conduct due diligence on counterparties, including crypto exchanges, DeFi platforms, and custodians.
- Maintain detailed and transparent transaction records for audits and regulatory reporting.
Client Relationship Management
- Providing regular updates on portfolio performance, market insights, and investment strategies.
- Customize portfolio solutions to meet the unique financial goals and risk tolerance of each client.
- Provide institutional-grade reporting, including risk analysis and real-time portfolio insights.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Compliance, and Investment Advice, to align portfolio strategies with product offerings and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing expertise on portfolio management and digital asset investment strategies.
- Report regularly to the Board of Directors on investment performance, risk exposures, and strategic developments.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (Masters degree or CFA certification is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in asset management, portfolio management, or investment banking, with exposure to digital assets preferred.
- CySEC Advanced Certification or the ability to obtain it within the first six months.
- Strong understanding of digital assets, blockchain technology, and their role in portfolio diversification.
- Proven track record of managing portfolios and achieving consistent returns.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Deep knowledge of portfolio management principles, asset allocation, and risk management.
- Proficiency with portfolio management tools, financial modeling, and investment analysis software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex investment concepts to diverse audiences.
- Analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail and a focus on results.
- High level of integrity and adherence to ethical investment practices.
