Reconciliation Officer iGaming Industry
Location: Remote (Regular in-person meetings in Nicosia, Cyprus )
Salary: 35,000 to 40,000 gross per annum, depending on experience
Our client is a well-established and innovative player in the iGaming industry, operating two leading casino brands that cater to a global audience.
They are seeking a Reconciliation Officer to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transaction records.
In this role, you will perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes. Additionally, you will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and enhancing the efficiency of reconciliation workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Reconciliation Processes:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of transactions processed by payment service providers (PSPs).
- Compare internal transaction data with external sources, including banks and payment gateways, to identify discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate accurate reconciliation reports for management and regulatory purposes.
- Analyze reconciliation results, identifying trends, irregularities, or issues that require action.
- Provide actionable insights to improve financial processes and mitigate risks.
Collaboration & Documentation:
- Work closely with finance, customer support, and other relevant teams to gather required information for reconciliations.
- Maintain detailed records of reconciliation findings, procedures, and resolutions.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reconciliation workflows.
Compliance & Process Optimization:
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to payment processing and reconciliation.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes and adjust reconciliation processes accordingly.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort.
What you should bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Approximately 2 years of experience in a reconciliation or similar role, preferably within a PSP, financial institution, or the iGaming sector.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and reconciliation tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
