As their new Sales Director, you will ideally have a strong background in sales leadership within the fintech sector, a proven track record of achieving sales targets, and the ability to build and mentor a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth and market expansion.
- Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for revenue generation.
- Set clear sales goals and objectives, and develop plans to achieve them.
- Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development opportunities for the sales team.
- Foster a collaborative and high-energy team environment.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and key accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Negotiate and close deals with prospective clients.
- Oversee the sales pipeline and ensure the CRM system is effectively utilized.
- Monitor sales metrics and KPIs to track performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Ensure sales processes and policies are adhered to and continuously improved.
- Work closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with product development to ensure customer feedback is integrated into product enhancements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
- A deeper understanding of the fintech products, such as payment solutions, blockchain technology, digital banking, or financial software, is essential.
- Knowledge of the financial regulations and compliance requirements that affect fintech companies.
- Keeping up-to-date with fintech industry trends, such as advancements in AI, cybersecurity concerns, or changes in consumer behaviour towards digital financial services.
- Analysing competitors within the fintech space and identifying unique selling points.
- Establishing trust with clients by demonstrating a deep understanding of financial technology and its implications.
- Managing longer and more complex sales cycles typical in fintech, where clients may require extensive due diligence and regulatory checks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the fintech industry, with at least 3 years
- in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse complex data and market trends.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach.
