Business Development Manager

As the BDM you will be based in Limassol in a hybrid role and due to the nature of the role you will have the opportunity of travelling abroad (Europe). 

You’re the right candidate if you have a background in Software Development Sales  and if you have Engineering knowledge it’s a bonus!  

Ideally your career experience as a Sales or Business Development Manager in the European software market.

Position Overview

Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry in Europe.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to spearhead our client’s growth initiatives in the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) sector across Europe for a software engineering company based in Limassol, Cyprus building software products for Industry leading service providers in Europe. Their products have proven to be a huge success and are highly in demand.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Clientele and Partner Network Development:
    1. Identify and target key clients and strategic partners.
    2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand their needs and position the company’s services effectively.
    3. Cultivate partnerships with industry stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and trade associations to enhance the company’s market presence and credibility.
  1. Sales and Revenue Generation:
  2. Drive sales growth by effectively communicating the value proposition of the digital products, platform, services and solutions to potential clients.
  3. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) sector.
  4. Collaborate with the sales team to develop customized solutions that meet clients’ specific requirements and address their safety challenges.
  1. Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
  2. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to Health and Safety industry and more specifically on Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) sector.
  3. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for business expansion and differentiation.
  4. Work closely with the leadership team to formulate market entry strategies and business development plans tailored to European markets.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  2. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and marketing, to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
  3. Provide valuable insights and feedback from the market to inform product development, marketing campaigns, and service enhancements.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer, Software Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or Business Development Manager in the European software market.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and nurture client relationships, negotiate contracts, and close sales deals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market dynamics and develop actionable business plans.
  • Willingness to travel as needed within Europe.
  • Fluency in English. German is a plus.
  • Experience on Digital Product Management and Agile methodologies will be considered as a plus.
