Assistant Tax Manager

Our client is a newly established and much promising start-up which aims to reshape the way Cyprus residents submit their annual tax-form.

Specializing in Cyprus tax form (for individuals) but at the same time offering tax-compliance and tax-advisory services to selective multinational groups. They have successfully obtained a first round of funding from private investors and have thousands of clients already.

‘They are innovatively disruptive, work enthusiasts and with a clear intention to simplify Cyprus tax landscape.

We’re looking for someone to join them as an Assistant Tax Manager.

Main responsibilities and expectations:

  • Cyprus tax knowledge and expertise is essential.
  • Qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years experience in the field of Cyprus taxation (ideally within a big-4 environment)
  • You need to be aware of the local tax law/s, tax circulars and have a general understanding of Cyprus tax, with an emphasis on tax-form submissions.
  • Tax objections, tax residency certificates, non-dom certificates, and personal tax advisory matters in general (particularly for employees and the self-employed) is also a requirement.

But you won’t just do tax (and that’s what’s interesting):

  • Software Development: Coordination with the programmers, testing of the app, ensuring UX works well, website update, etc.
  • Business Development: Meeting with clients, presentations, seminars, etc.
  • Good communication skills, and a positive attitude is a must.
  • Admin work: Client Management, Organizational Skills, answering phone-calls, emails, follow-ups, invoicing, & payments.
