We are looking for a skilled Android Developer to join their team in Limassol, Cyprus.
As an Android Developer with Gaming Experience, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality gaming applications for the Android platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend developers, and product managers, to create captivating and innovative gaming experiences. Your expertise in Android app development and your passion for gaming will be vital in shaping the future of our gaming products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Android App Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance gaming applications for Android devices.
- Gaming Mechanics: Implement gaming mechanics, user interactions, and gameplay elements into Android gaming apps to deliver engaging experiences.
- Graphics and Animations: Work closely with designers and artists to integrate visually appealing graphics, animations, and special effects into gaming applications.
- Mobile Optimization: Optimize gaming applications for performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency to ensure a smooth gaming experience on various Android devices.
- Real-time Communication: Implement real-time multiplayer features and gaming interactions using network protocols.
- Game Analytics: Integrate analytics tools to gather data and insights into user behavior, helping to improve game design and user engagement.
- Collaborative Development: Collaborate with backend developers to integrate Android applications with server-side APIs and gaming services.
- Version Control: Use version control systems like Git to manage code repositories effectively.
- Bug Fixing and Testing: Identify and resolve bugs and issues through testing and debugging processes, ensuring a stable and reliable gaming application.
- Gaming Industry Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the gaming industry, incorporating relevant technologies and best practices into our projects.
Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience as an Android Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing gaming-related projects.
- Gaming Background: Solid understanding of gaming mechanics, user interactions, and gaming industry trends.
- Android App Development: Proficiency in Java or Kotlin and a strong command of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle.
- Game Engines: Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine would be a plus.
- Graphics and Animation: Familiarity with OpenGL ES and other graphics libraries to implement 2D and 3D gaming elements.
- Mobile UI/UX: Knowledge of Android UI/UX guidelines and best practices to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
- Backend Integration: Understanding of server-side APIs and networking concepts to collaborate with backend developers effectively.
- Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Problem Solver: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges.
