Systems Administrator, Nicosia, Cyprus

We are recruiting for a proactive and experienced Systems Administrator to join our client’s in-house IT team. You’ll be responsible for managing and securing the firm’s cloud and on-premises infrastructure, supporting IT projects, and strengthening their Cybersecurity. The Role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing key services such as directory systems, DNS, DHCP, and a range of cloud-based tools for productivity, identity, and device management. You’ll oversee patch management and system compliance, ensure reliable performance, and provide basic support for enterprise firewalls. In addition, you’ll use PowerShell or similar scripting tools to automate routine tasks, manage backup and replication processes, and test recovery procedures.


Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure services, including directory services, domain name resolution, and dynamic IP address management.
  • Manage and maintain cloud-based services, including productivity tools, identity and access management, device management, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Supervise device compliance, oversee patch management processes, ensure optimal system performance, and manage the deployment of patches.
  • Perform routine maintenance and provide Level 1 support for enterprise-grade firewall systems.
  • Utilize PowerShell or other scripting languages to automate tasks and streamline processes.
  • Manage backup and replication solutions for on-prem and cloud workloads.
  • Test and document backup recovery processes.
  • Document Backup & Disaster Recovery
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues independently.
  • Compose and maintain detailed technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base materials.


Your Profile:

You have 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems administration and/or IT security. You have solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure AD, Windows Server, and Microsoft Defender, along with experience using enterprise backup solutions. You possess a strong understanding of IT security best practices including access control, encryption, and endpoint protection.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration and/or IT security.
  • Proven hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure AD, Windows Server, and Defender.
  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions.
  • Understanding of IT security best practices, access control, encryption, and endpoint protection.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator and/or MD-102: Endpoint Administrator will be considered as advantage.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO27001) will be considered as advantage.
  • Certification such as MS-500: Microsoft 365  Security Administration will be considered as advantage.


What is on offer:

  • Salary Range: EUR 35,000 – 45,000 gross/year (including 13th salary) based on qualifications and experience
