About the Opportunity
Our client, a global technology consulting company with over 87,000 employees across 40+ countries, is seeking talented professionals to join their European operations supporting major digital transformation programmes in the banking and financial services sector.
The Role
We are hiring an application side DevOps Engineer with strong Azure CI/CD and AKS experience to design, build and continuously optimise pipelines and Kubernetes deployments for application workloads. This is not an infrastructure provisioning role. We are looking for an engineer who genuinely owns pipeline performance, AKS deployment strategy, runtime cost and observability, and can point to concrete optimisation work they have personally delivered.
What You Will Do
- Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, supporting build and release automation for application workloads
- Manage application deployments on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including pipeline driven deployment strategies and release optimisation
- Implement and operate monitoring and observability solutions using Datadog to ensure application reliability
- Drive DevOps enhancements and cost optimisation initiatives across pipeline efficiency, AKS resource usage and application runtime tuning
- Contribute scripts and automation using Shell and Python (preferred) for build, deployment and operational tasks
What You Will Bring
- Primary skills: Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipeline design and management), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Cloud
- Secondary skills: Terraform, Datadog, Helm, Ansible, GitHub Actions
- This is an application side DevOps and CI/CD engineering role, not infrastructure provisioning. We are looking for hands on experience building and optimising pipelines and AKS deployments, not just cluster or VM setup
- Evidence of at least one concrete CI/CD optimisation you have personally implemented in Azure DevOps, with a clear measurable impact (e.g. pipeline speed, release cadence, build cost)
- Evidence of AKS workload optimisation for performance or cost, with specific examples of scaling decisions, resource tuning or cost reductions you have delivered
- Hands on Datadog experience, including metrics and dashboards you have personally configured for application monitoring (not just consumed)
- Strong scripting and automation capability in Shell and Python
Nice to Have
- CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
- Azure Administrator certification
