Emerald Zebra on behalf of our client, a Cyprus registered technology company that develops an AI powered automated gold trading software product for MetaTrader 5, is looking to hire a Senior Frontend Developer (React Native and Web) to be based in Limassol, Cyprus. The company works with regulated broker infrastructure to provide automated trading functionality and risk management tools, and this role sits within the core product engineering team reporting to the Lead Developer.
Location: Limassol, Cyprus. Hybrid working from the Limassol office.
Engagement: Full time, as an employee or independent contractor depending on your location and applicable law.
Role Overview
You will build high performance web and mobile applications for the company’s trading platform, bridging web and mobile ecosystems by delivering seamless Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) and robust cross platform mobile apps using React Native. The ideal candidate cares about pixel perfect UI, exceptional user experience and efficient data integration via RESTful APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build high quality responsive web applications and cross platform mobile apps using React Native.
- Develop and optimise Progressive Web Applications for offline capability, fast loading and native like experiences.
- Integrate frontend interfaces with backend services by consuming complex RESTful APIs.
- Translate design wireframes into high quality, semantic code using advanced HTML5 and CSS3.
- Maintain clean application state architectures and optimise apps for speed, scalability and battery efficiency.
- Write clean, maintainable and well tested code and take part in rigorous peer code reviews.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years building, deploying and maintaining production ready React Native apps for iOS and Android.
- Mastery of modern JavaScript and TypeScript, semantic HTML5 and advanced CSS3 (Tailwind CSS, SASS or Styled Components).
- Proven experience with service workers, caching strategies and web app manifests for Progressive Web Applications.
- Strong proficiency in async JavaScript, promises and REST API consumption (Axios, Fetch API).
- Solid experience with Redux Toolkit, Zustand or Context API.
- Proficiency with Git, Vite or Webpack, and mobile deployment via TestFlight and Google Play Console.
- Demonstrated experience publishing and managing apps on the App Store and Google Play.
Desirable
- Familiarity with GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with Native Modules or bridging native iOS and Android code in React Native.
- Knowledge of web accessibility (WCAG) standards and SEO best practices.
