Our client, a leading Financial Institution offering online businesses access to multi-currency IBAN accounts, global payment acceptance, and digital disbursement solutions is seeking a Back Office Specialist to join their team of professionals in Limassol, Cyprus. You will be responsible for supporting Back Office in its daily operations, providing essential assistance to the Financial Institution and reporting directly to the Head of Back Office. You should be able to process and understand client information and provide meaningful analysis and actions.
Requirements:
- Previous working experience in a Back Office of Financial Institutions, in particular in Account Opening
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to multi-task, determine priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- English fluent both verbal and written
- An understanding of AML laws and any relevant certificates will be advantageous
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review customer applications and all supporting documents to ensure they meet all necessary requirements
- Collect and verify customer identification and other KYC documents
- Verify and correct customer information in the institutions’ CRM and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Follow up with customers to obtain additional information as needed
- Ensure all account opening activities comply with the institutions policies and all applicable laws and regulations
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Review and monitor transactions and accounts for suspicious activity and plausibility
- Request and review transactional supporting documentation and clarification from clients, analyse responses and form conclusions over activity
- Document decision-making on CRM and supporting tools
- Work closely with the Compliance department
- Assist with other Back Office tasks as needed
