The Challenge
A global online broker with deep expertise across US, European, and Asian stock markets needed a Marketing Compliance Officer to ensure all marketing, affiliate, and influencer activities complied with CySEC, ESMA, and EU regulations. This niche role sat at the intersection of compliance and marketing—requiring regulatory knowledge alongside familiarity with affiliate networks, influencer platforms, and digital marketing channels. Finding candidates who understood both worlds can prove difficult.
The Search
We searched for professionals with 1-2 years of experience in compliance, legal, or marketing compliance within financial services. The ideal candidate needed to understand CySEC Circulars, ESMA guidelines, and MiFID II requirements, while also being comfortable reviewing content across websites, social media, emails, and video platforms. We prioritised analytical thinkers with strong attention to detail.
The Solution
We presented a candidate with a compliance background and genuine interest in the marketing side of financial services. They had experience reviewing financial promotions and understood the regulatory landscape for CFD and brokerage marketing.
